You can just move to Switzerland (Inspired by @rphgrc.eth posts)

Nah. The US is still better for motivation, big ideas, and innovation. Way better.

What about for raising kids? it feels like a fantastic place to do that, right?

That’s a hard question, and very personal I think. But for me, if I were given the choice to raise my kids in either NYC or Switzerland, I would choose NYC without blinking. (I am a former NYer who has now lived in Switzerland for about 7 years and am feeling a bit biased against my new home atm, so take with salt ;)

My partner. But also because I wanted to be in Europe. Europe is fantastic in a lot of ways. I don’t know at this point if I’ll even return to the States. The boredom I experience in Switzerland is evened out by the easy access I have to other rich cultural places across the continent. But again, I think it’s very personal! :)

I’m actually considering moving back to Europe (maybe Switzerland) in about five years or later, once the kid is a older. I still want them to study in the States since the education system here is better, but living in Europe would bring us closer to family and offer a more affordable lifestyle

study you mean university? or schools? I'd bet you Swiss school + ETH Zurich trumps education in the US
