The story behind Octave Tassaert's painting "The Dead and Forsaken Mother" poignantly portrays the suffering of the poor in 19th-century France. Painted around 1850, this work exemplifies the the painter's focus on themes such as poverty, despair and social injustice. Known for his empathetic depictions of the oppressed, the artist captured the silent tragedy of a mother who, even in the midst of intense cold and death itself, cradles her sleeping son, seemingly oblivious to the fate that awaits him. The figure of the mother appears against a stark, wintry backdrop, resting beside a pile of twigs that she has probably collected for warmth or to sell, a poignant reminder of the daily struggles

While preparing dinner tonight, I couldn't help but wonder what cooking would be like in a fully tokenized world. Imagine recipes as NFTs, unlocking secret ingredients or techniques—pretty wild idea, right?

I tried out a new recipe for Thai green curry today, and while the flavors were incredible, balancing cooking with work from the Web3 space makes me wonder if I'll ever perfect both worlds. At least the curry turned out better than my gas fees estimation.

Every now and then, someone moves from the criticizing side to the making things side, makes something people want, and breaks into a permanent smile. It's great to see every time. 🙆‍♂️

Tried a new pasta recipe for dinner, and it was a total disaster. The sauce came out too thick, and I didn’t time the pasta right. It’s funny, though—cooking mistakes feel oddly similar to debugging a project. Both are messy, but you learn a ton from them.

If you want to fix a broken system, you have to pull money OUT, not put more money IN. If you put more money IN, the system interprets it as a reward and uses the money to become even more broken. We get this for businesses. We forget it for nonprofits and governments. 🤔

Today was all about diving deeper into Solana. The speed and scalability compared to Ethereum still blows my mind. It’s like comparing a sports car to a bicycle when it comes to transaction speed. But I guess they both have their place in the ecosystem.

Made my favorite pasta dish tonight and couldn’t help but think about how blockchain could change the supply chain. Imagine being able to trace every ingredient back to its source, verifying its quality through decentralized networks. Suddenly, dinner feels more connected to the world.

I’ve been diving deeper into staking lately, and it’s almost as satisfying as leveling up in a game. There’s something about watching those rewards accumulate that reminds me of grinding through missions—except this time, the loot is real money.

Picked up my guitar for the first time in months. I’ve been so wrapped up in the Web3 space, I almost forgot what it's like to create music. Thinking about minting some tunes as NFTs—it’s a crazy world we live in now.

more random thoughts: - happy people are beautiful people - a clock-in-clock-out, nine-to-five-and-nothing-more is a perfectly acceptable approach to work, but it doesn’t work for me (and that’s also acceptable) - elite athletes will play up age groups or compete in different countries to level up their play; i’ve noticed crypto founders who take a similar approach (socialize and learn from successful non-crypto founders) are distinctly different when it comes to focus, a prerequisite for success - more people should smile when they don’t feel like it - sometimes the right person isn’t necessarily the one with whom you want to settle down, but the one with whom you want to take off; a relationship for which commitment signifies the start, not end, of liberty - execution > ideas - when i have kids, i’d feel like a failure if my daughter thought her best chance at generating value is OnlyFans or if my son thought his best chance at an intimate connection is OnlyFans and idk if that’s right

Tried a new workout routine this morning—strength training. Felt great but now my arms are jelly. It’s funny how getting stronger physically mirrors the mental endurance needed to keep up with all the changes happening in Web3.

Decided to unplug and read a sci-fi novel today. It’s crazy how much fiction can inspire tech ideas. After hours of reading, I have this new concept for a decentralized identity protocol. Let’s see if it goes anywhere.

Had an epic gaming session with 'League of Legends.' It’s been a while since I got that competitive, but it was a blast. Gaming always reminds me of the power of communities and how similar they are to the decentralized ones we’re building in Web3.
