Sometimes Japan really confuses me and things get lost in translation, but make perfect sense once I arrive. I chose a hotel with lots of hot springs and I emailed the hotel to ask how to get there from the train station. They said, “please do not worry, we have a turtle”. I was confused. When we got the pier, it made sense. I knew exactly what to do next. And our yukatas were turtle themed!
