And so the scams begin! Be careful out there.
How do we know this is a scam?
1. It’s an iMessage. Very few companies have official iMessage accounts and those are usually verified (like Apple) and won’t be from a random phone number.
2. Most will be from a text service using a short code, not a 10 digit phone number.
3. Even if you suspect something is wrong, only use the phone numbers that are tied to official support channels listed on their websites. Never use the number in an email or text.
Be extra safe. New features and updates are the perfect breeding ground for scammers.
