3. Spam Labels Spam Labels were updated to be binary. Horrid Limbo (Label Level 1) is now gone and the algorithm now sees you as either likely to be spammy or unlikely to be spammy. There is no official guidance on what is “spammy”. The team has sprinkled their thoughts on things that can be considered spammy and I wrote a guide to try to help. The spam algorithm is secret and multifaceted. It’s not one particular behavior but a pattern. Much of the network is labeled as spam. You must avoid getting a spam label at all costs. Being “verified” and being a “pro” user won’t save you from the spam algorithm. Think of these as 3 separate systems. Pro badges show your support and you get a cute purple badge next to your name. Verification tries to establish that you are a user with an established internet history in Web2 or Farcaster. Spam labels show if you understand the culture of Farcaster and can add signal vs adding noise.
