My mom was officially influenced by Farcaster. She said she saw people talking about it, did some research, and bought it. It’s actually kinda cool. And I can’t say anything. I was influenced to buy awesome candles, try certain restaurants, and grab some new skincare and supplements. I haven’t regretted a single purchase. I think it’s because the core of the network is still small (I’d argue it’s the power badge crew +/- 1,000 folks who missed that era) and high trust. It makes us vulnerable in a way we aren’t on other platforms but it also makes for really cool moments. I’m still here because of those moments. I like that there is a wallet. I like that I can easily transact with crypto and mini apps, but it’s not why I came nor why I stay. To me it’s a feature, and not the heart of this place. The heart is in the real people who show up and share cool things that make my life a little brighter, a little cooler, and a little better.
