I just watched a grandfather (I assume) put his grandkids on the train and when they waved goodbye, he waved and looked very stoic. As soon as the train took off, he started sniffling and a few tears fell. And now I’m standing here all teary eyed because it was such a sweet moment. Men: it’s okay to show your emotions. You don’t have to wait until they are gone to show how much you care.

Depending on the age of the children. If they're very young, it can become a huge drama if you get emotional about them leaving, and then you try to get them on the train.

aww 🥹 my grandfather is the exact opposite, he gets emotional more than anyone else in the family and it always shows either his voice shakes or his eyes get watery he's so precious ❤️

Maybe he didn't want the kids to feel sad, so he stayed strong in front of them, but those few tears after they left held a world of pure love within them.

We've been thought to bottle our emotions up, regardless of race. I don't mind it though, as long as there are off days to feel/act vulnerable.
