Fascinating and def shows the power of centralized algos even on a decentralized protocol. Personally, I found the only way to consistently see quality content is to go to each user manually. It’s extremely inefficient, but I would rather control my feed inefficiently than be controlled efficiently.

It is zero sum, right? Only so many eyeballs to show casts to. They even said they were trying to help new accounts gain traction, so that would have to be at the cost of non-new accounts, is it too strong? Probably

about "the algorithm cares more about engagement quality than raw follower numbers" im tired on seeing noviana at the gym... literally every time i open the purple app on 5 different accounts its one of her casts at the top.
