One more day of travel to get to the start of our pilgrimage. It would have been 8 hours of trains so we are short cutting via a domestic flight to get to the first temple of the Saigoku Pilgrimage. It’s 33 temples plus 3 additional related ones nearby. Some are easy to get to and some will take a lot of effort but we are excited. (Also testing all the AI/travel apps) and will report back.)
