Let’s clear up some misunderstandings about channels! 1. You don’t get a distribution or algorithm boost for casting into a channel (You used to, but those days are over)! 2. Cast into channels because: - You like the channel and the people in it (community) - You want to chat with others about a particular topic (food, books, screens) 3. All channels are setup differently. Some are open to all, some are membership based. Unfortunately not all hosts/mods are caught up on all the channel changes. Some channels have a link on their page with how to join or a pinned post telling you the details. All channels *should* have this, but don’t. 4. If you are a channel host, consider opening your channel to all (change to public/everyone) or add @curabot to your channel to help new folks be automatically invited to your channel!
