Mata ne Japan! I will see you again in March and will miss you terribly. My Japanese friends say “sayonara” is goodbye in a very formal way and kind of implies I’m not returning and that “mata ne” is a more casual way to say see you later, but definitely again soon. Also mid day Shinkansen is my new unlock. No one is here. It’s nice. I also get to enjoy Christmas Eve twice while I time travel back to the US. Winning.
