When you cast one word replies to people you don’t know (aka they don’t follow you) you are indistinguishable from the bot networks of inauthentic accounts. Many people will ignore you or mute you. Few will take the time to check your profile. When enough people ignore you, the spam algorithm will notice. You don’t want to be noticed by it.
