Shrugs. I guess they play a vital role. I’m not convinced of that as much these days.

If the Bible is your *only valid source of accurate, fact-checked information* that you think you need to help you understand the world around you then there is no point in my having this conversation with you. Good luck.

Newspapers have a financial incentive and so do reporters. The truth doesn’t require either of those. Professions do. Nutrients come from the Bible in terms of information and most everything else is junk food.

If you can’t see the value and importance of high quality reporting, you either aren’t seeking out nutritional information or you must not have a very sophisticated sense of civic responsibility. Either way I’m sorry for you. I read three newspapers every day and I also read on social media constantly and if I only did the latter it would be like eating only candy and expecting to be healthy.
