a few things to look out for to spot these very weird accounts: - repeatedly interacting with @nounishprof and @adrienne re: /gmfarcaster, but in a bizarre way given they're audience members i.e. "come join us, we're streaming!" or awkwardly quoting the hosts/guests - noticeably low-effort quote casts with nothing to add, just paraphrasing the original cast - casts that contradict one another with no regard for time/place e.g. "no food in my fridge at home this morning, darn" and then 4hr later "I'm on vacation in cuba" - food pics with one setting in photo 1 (granite/quartz countertop) and a different one in photo 2 (laminate or wood countertop)

yeah… my initial post used the term “fake” which I now realize isn’t quite accurate. it’s more 1) accounts posting low-quality content 2) groups of similar accounts engaging and replying with one another to boost their scores
