There's nothing more dangerous for a man than to be truly loved by a woman. When she gives him what is most precious, when she manifests her lasting desire as time goes, the felicity he feels makes him believe every step he's taken was right, for it led him there. He gets set in his ways. He becomes impervious to influence. No woman should ever love a man truly. The risk is simply too great.
