Having more money seems better for the individual than having less money, at least in the short term. I think it's a different topic than whether the idea of having money for nothing is good for society (or even for the individual; but I think the question of "parasitic" is inherently about society, rather than the individual. If parasitic actions didn't bring greater individual happiness, nobody would ever be a parasite!).
