I am bullish on ETH because it attracts extremely values aligned builders from across the planet who build secure, scalable, and unstoppable systems led by researchers who understand the bleeding edge of cryptography

I am bullish on ETH because after getting punched in the face by Solana and watching VCs, Mert, Toly, Raj, Alliance shit on the ecosystem for like 2 years (and winning!), the technical response from Eth will be decisive and overwhelming. The realtime zk proving event horizon is probably 2-3 years away and Ethereum will rendezvous beautifully with that reality

I am bullish on ETH because it is the home of the best researchers, increasingly adds strong engineers, and is developing a Silicon Valley product skillset to ship things people want. It is the ecosystem for projects building honest value, not a breeding ground for memes, gambling, and crime

Very cool!!! Crowdfunding has always been one of the most interesting use cases to me, there’s a book called Sweat Blood and Pixels about game dev and they mentioned how Obsidian crowdfunded the game they actually wanted to build (instead of succumbing to intense investor pressure)

Can’t believe GoFundMe and all of these trad crowdsourced donation platforms just happy with taking 4%!! fees

This becomes especially useful in the context of Native rollups. As proving times get faster and faster, rollup scaling simply becomes zk proof scaling

Native rollups are great because it allows rollups to ditch fraud proofs and makes validity proofs trivial to implement (basically, all rollups become zk rollups, and to prove them on L1, you simply call “zkExecute” or similar in your L1 smart contract)

We will be able to scale L2s as fast as zk proving times, which we hope will accelerate like Moore’s law or faster

The exciting thing is that if we get more rollups to become native and based, fast-native bridging across these becomes a thing

Blockchains are computers that check each others work to arrive at shared agreement.

Normally, this means everyone re-does all of the work and checks that we all got the same answer

With ZK, we can check everyone’s work with a special puzzle piece (a proof) but only if that puzzle is supplied to us

The problem is these puzzle pieces take a long time to create, and if we waited for the puzzle pieces today, we would slow down our blockchain. As this gets faster, we can start doing less work to verify the correctness of the blockchain
