What’s the harm?

sure. but every week? open to the public?

i’m trying to think through examples where this wouldn’t work 

obviously office size is an issue

but there are very few examples where a company has a sufficiently large office and there aren’t *some* relevant stakeholders nearby (potential partners, customers, industry professionals, etc) that they could host
