I tried Google Jules for a basic-ish task in a small codebase, where it had plenty of precedents to follow. It wrote pretty good code but made weird choices about where to put that code.

BUT it was super nice that I did it all from my phone while I was AFK, since it just sucks down your repo to their servers, so that felt nice. No laptop needed!

Actually i take it back the code was missing some things that I feel like Claude wouldn't have missed. Sorry Jules, next time 👋

try codex it makes the same or similar mistakes but with a cleaner ux

Ha! I use Claude Code and that can be pretty good if you watch it closely.
