I have a deep amount of respect for all the founders and builders betting big on the mini-app thesis. We haven't quite seen it pan out in its entirety yet but its without a doubt the foundation for a new generation of crypto products and services and will inevitably lead to many apps that onboard millions of new users. Keep fighting - your time in the sun will come.

it takes a lot of conviction in farcaster to go all-in on a miniapp. hope it works out for everyone

No one is saying go all in on mini apps. They are great for top of funnel / earlier stage iteration. The reality is most app builders have a hard time getting users. Much easier to do with mini apps to start.

when you're a small dev team with limited resources, building a mini-app versus building a standalone web app or native app is essentially going "all-in" I get what you're saying though and I don't disagree with you. I've tried native app first, frames 1.0 -> web app, mini app first, web app first to possible mini app after enough traction. I'm just going to take advantage of the distribution that's out there and try everything until we get a hit. Thank you for shipping the building blocks!

> when you're a small dev team with limited resources, building a mini-app versus building a standalone web app or native app is essentially going "all-in" False dichotomy A mini app is just a mobile-optimized web app. Should be minimal overhead. And you get a massive boost on distribution, notifications and reliability of mobile transactions.

some devs only give an idea one shot with one platform before moving on. it's semantics and situation dependent. if you think "all-in" is too harsh or black/white then that's fine, I don't really hold a strong opinion there I haven't tried it out yet, but from talking to other mini app devs it's not really a seamless transition going from mobile-optimized web app (with something like privy auth) to a mini app with farcaster auth. I'm confident it'll get there. I'm following the updates closely.
