The ‘follow your passion’ advice is terrible for 99% of people. Most passions don’t pay bills. Find something you’re decent at that pays well, then use that money to fund your actual interests.

Something I can relate too unless you have a rich benefactor. I always saw my commercial work as a way of subsidising my creative work, that way it also gives me freedom not to see my art as *only* another marketable endeavour.
