I have a former coworker who’s fond of saying “it’s not a tech problem, it’s a people problem”, and it’s pretty wild how many situations it was applicable to. Game piracy; multiplayer cheating; griefing; they all have the same pattern of tormenting legitimate users while only mildly inconveniencing the actual bad actors. I wish i knew the solution.
