Books

I'm going to Singapore for three days this week (too short, I know). I've never been there before. If you were to pick just one book about it, preferably non-fiction, what should I read on my flight over?

A few recommendations I've come across:

Somehow Lee Kuan Yew’s book arrived early today, just hours after I ordered it online. Somehow @debbie’s book arrived shortly after, despite an initial delivery delay. Somehow I made it onto a completely different flight to Singapore a day earlier than intended, with one hour notice to pack.

These three events have aligned in such a way that I’m now set up for a real treat. 16 hours of focused time with two books that should be very interesting to read together.

I want to order Debbie’s but since The Book Depository (not sure if you’ve ever used this) got shut down, I have nowhere else to order from. With Amazon, I need to order 2-3 books to balance the high shipping fees! Lmk if you know any alts online bookstores that are based in South/east Asia 🤓

I don’t know Southeast Asia well enough to suggest alts - but maybe you can find other Farcasters in the area who also want the book and do a bulk order!
