Our mayor invited me to a meeting to discuss Blue Zone certification for the town. I said I believe it’d be a waste of money and time that only benefits the certifying body. Our town has a deficit to fix first.

Perhaps I’m judging harshly. Does anyone here know about this? Or live in a “Blue Zone Community®”?

I’ve only just begun learning about it. But from what I understand the certification process would encourage restaurants to include healthy “blue zone” options on their menus. Whether customers actually order that healthy option is another question.
