🌐 During a conversation with Ryan MacDowell, who leads events at Base, one remark left a strong impression. He emphasized that community and culture shouldn't be like fireworks—fleeting and explosive—but should be led by people who, within a shared worldview, seek to shape part of their own lives. Inspired by that idea, I spent last weekend reflecting on what community truly means. 1/ 많은 사람이 모이고 연결된 것만으로는 커뮤니티가 아니다. 2/ ‘커뮤니티에서 자연스럽게 나온 사업’과 ‘커뮤니티를 이용한 사업’은 구분되어야 한다. 3/ 커뮤니티는 정서적 공감만으로 유지되지 않는다. 낯섦과 충돌 속에서도 관계를 지속할 수 있는 구조가 필요하다. 4/ 커뮤니티의 힘은 구성원 간의 상호작용을 통해 서서히 드러난다. 5/ 커뮤니티의 생명력은 ‘함께 만들어가는 과정’에 있다. 6/ 참여자들이 주체가 되어야 커뮤니티의 가치가 갱신된다. 7/ 작고 단단한 관계망이 먼저 마련되어야, 이후 크고 느슨한 커뮤니티도 정체성을 유지하고 확장할 수 있다.
