Why do you (LP) need a professional VC? Not because you can’t find great opportunities yourself, it’s because your money needs to be decoupled from your emotions attached to it. This is key to shielding the investments and the investee entrepreneurs from high frequency panic.
Most LPs/Solo-investors destroy value in their investments through pre-mature panic.
