crypto has 617m users but only 5-10% end up actively engaging in on chain activities - how crazy is that? There is an acquisition dogfight happening in the existing bull market but why not maximise your existing user base and make them sticky long term? @mbd has a cool solution.

Here’s a view that might upset 1 or 2 people: Crypto x AI is not a category. “x AI” is a tag that can be put into any sector in tech given AI’s universal utility. The most interesting AI teams in crypto (like @yassinelanda.eth at @mbd) are focused on how to solve mass adoption, not how to create another pie in the sky web3 narrative. Critics will argue that AI needs to be permissionless and decentralized. It definitely does, but so does every other technology, so let’s focus on making real products people need. AI is either the product with crypto features (e.g agents on chain or algorithms on chain) or vice versa. In very very rare cases both can hold, but I’ve yet to see a great example. Have you?

As we enter the final hours of US Election Day, it’s clear that AI has made a profound impact on democracy. Here are two examples of innovations that highlight AI’s potential to make democratic participation more accessible, adaptable, and user-centered. 𝟭. 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘀: Leonard & some Denver high school kids from mostly immigrant families built an AI app (VoteWise Colorado) to help their parents and people like them vote 2. 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗺 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: Companies like what @yassinelanda.eth & mbd.xyz are pioneering user-centered approaches by allowing individuals to own their algorithms and control the content they see, quietening reliance on centralized algorithms. By reducing this dependency, mbd.xyz empowers users to counter echo chambers and minimize the manipulation often found in AI-driven feeds.

My first Brain Computer Interface. This week I saw my brain data being listened to whilst hearing Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon (clouds = excitement!) Turns out my brain was pretty responsive generating crazy cloud patterns. By creating new feedback loops between neural activity, audio, and visuals, it was so serene.
