After last week’s announcements at the State of Crypto Summit, it’s no longer acceptable to say that “crypto has no real world use cases” or “no one uses crypto except for speculation” 161 million people already use stablecoins to make their day-to-day lives better, and millions of merchants and billions of users on Shopify will soon be able to process USDC payments and get 1% cash back on @base Crypto payments are faster (payments on Base settle in 200 milliseconds even across international borders), cheaper (transaction fees on Base are less than $0.01), and more globally accessible (anyone with an internet connection can transact on Base) – all without intermediaries (Base is a shared ledger that enables different systems to reference the same source of truth) The infrastructure to power a global onchain economy is finally ready, and crypto is quietly being woven into the fabric of our daily lives

Wow, that’s incredible! Millions are *already* using crypto for everyday life, and it's getting faster, cheaper, and more accessible. So exciting to see it become a real part of our world!
