REMIX UPDATE (Previously Farcade)

Been a while since my last Farcade (now Remix) update, let’s jump into what’s new 🧵 :

◽️ Rebrand to Remix

Farcade recently rebranded to Remix, aligning better with their vision of being a TikTok styled gaming hub where anyone can instantly play, build, and remix games. The pivot was a huge hit. I’ll miss Farcade, but I’m hyped for what Remix has planned

Trying to get good at this whole crypto thing

◽️ UI Upgrade

The mini app got a big upgrade it’s cleaner, smoother, and way more intuitive. If you haven’t tried it out yet you’re seriously missing out

◽️ Game Jam Success

Remix ran two amazing game jams recently, where over 150 games were created, 3,000+ hours were played, and $7k+ in rewards were distributed. These have been a huge success on the platform and I’m sure more are on it’s way. I’d jump in myself if I weren’t so terrible at building games 😂

◽️ Standalone App

A standalone Remix app was teased, no further details yet, but definitely something to look forward too

◽️ Async Multiplayer Added

Remix Studio now supports asynchronous multiplayer meaning builders can now create games where players don’t need to be online at the same time to play with or against each other (think chess). Excited to see what some of our crackhead game devs come up with

◽️ Referral Update

They’ve added a bunch of benefits for referring at least 5 users, you can instantly earn 25k points, get 2x XP on the platform for life and earn 50% of the points from your referrals (capped at 5 people). I really like the way they handled this as isn’t doesn’t just give KOLs the chance to rake in astronomical amounts of points from just refferals
