This hadith totally mentions multi wives for men So, you’re cool with multi being normal and a man’s right, as long as he’s good and fair to all his wives? Pretty great, huh?

Yes, partly — U.S. laws against polygamy are influenced by Christian values, especially Protestant beliefs that promote monogamy as the ideal form of marriage. While polygamy exists in the Bible (e.g., Abraham, Jacob, Solomon), most Christian traditions later emphasized monogamy as morally and socially preferable. These views shaped American culture and law, making monogamy the legal and social norm. One religion telling another religion what to do Classic

I think, apart from the laws in some Islamic countries, no other country or religion currently allows men to practice polygamy. Am I right about this? But the biggest issue with this law is that men in such societies, under such laws, often feel a sense of ownership over women (including their daughters, sisters, and even mothers). If you look at Middle Eastern societies, you can see that family-related killings often go unpunished under this framework, and it’s treated as something normal.
