Lately I’ve been diving into Espresso’s architecture — and Ben Fisch’s name keeps showing up in the places that matter.

I’ve never met Ben Fisch in person. But I’ve seen his fingerprints in places people rarely look: in Filecoin’s proof systems, in refinements to SNARK design, and in the new market model powering Espresso Sequencer.

He’s not loud, doesn’t seek the spotlight. But what he builds becomes the quiet foundation others rely on.

And if Espresso today is seen as one of the most elegant infrastructure designs for modular Web3 — then I believe much of that credit belongs to the one who laid its first stones: Ben Fisch.
