Adding fake high-MC tokens like this to your Treasury to game the distribution will get your empire blacklisted and your total distributed reset to 0. Continued abuse will result in complete removal from the app.

I feel like there should be more guardrails in place to prevent this type of behavior 😭

The treasury contracts are yours to do with as you please 🙂 Part of the decentralized ecosystem. There are some auto-guardrails in place too (won't mention what they are exactly as to not let them be exploited). They are quite lenient for now - but they give us enough time to black list before they show up in the rankings.

This is why we can't have nice things... 😭 I'm glad someone's on top of it 💜 Would you be in favor for a ranking system of sorts (or some other 'solution') or do you think it deters from the decentralized part which is a slippery slope? 🧐

For sure would be in favour of it. But there is a lot of variables to consider. If you have any suggestions I'd be keen to experiment with different ranking methods

First thing that came to mind was some sort of trust/reward system, defining 'trust' may be simple as contract age or properly filling out important details which could in turn be rewarded with a 'longer leash' in a sense of allowing major edits or changes that would normally be sus 🤔 then 'sus' levels could affect their rank, etc. or something like that 💜

Amazing! We are planning to expand out the details sections for each empire. Could be that we require certain info to be filled out before ranking. But there are always ways to game it. Even if people need to verify social accounts, etc, they will do it and still do the same thing (the guy who was doing this in the example I gave had his personal warpcast and twitter linked to the address he was using). Think the blacklisting option is the best disincentive to prevent this behaviour atm. But a more robust trust system wouldn't go astray too.
