Scientists have observed a mysterious optical object above the Sun, resembling a bird and exceeding the size of Earth by more than 10 times, according to the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which also released a photo of the object.

The wingspan of this "bird" is approximately 150,000 km, and it "hovers" at an altitude of about 2 million km above the Sun.
