On the current state of crypto vs. the SEC 🧵

We should do crypto policy on Farcaster and there’s no better topic to start than this.

Here's the deal:

The SEC and CFTC are in a turf war over who regulates crypto. The issue is neither of them have the legal authority to do it.

The CFTC mostly accepts reality.

Great thread on how the US crypto regulatory environment got to where it is today, particularly with respect to the SEC.
