There's many things this can be associated with, but the first to check is burn out, emotional overload, stress, or repressed needs (if it's episodic rather than persistent). Key task in these states is to listen to your mind and body, and do what you believe you need to do to see the other side. Maybe (carefully) look into depersonalisation or derealisation.
