Is there a single country that regulates housing/rent costs beyond just demand and supply? I understand more developed places, richer cities, cities with high population, etc. There's a huge chance it's hard to find accomodation. And if you do find one, it's going to cost you a lot. But hear me out. What if there's a law or regulation that limits how high the value can go. It's tricky since sometimes it's tied to other factors like the standard of living of that place (electricity, cost of goods, cost of import and exporting items) and average salary of individuals. But In many cases the housing cost keeps going higher with demand even when other factors are remain the same.

Don't parts of Germany, Singapore, Denmark, and others have something like this? Maybe not universal laws but certainly have some forms of rent control in certain cities or areas
