I bet there would be far fewer "dark patterns" in UI/UX if users were physically nearby to the devs - e.g. imagine we're all in one village together like the old days the things i'd say to Ivan + his team right now for making me go through their 13-step process to cancel my $250/mo pro subscription

ThatâsâŚkinda the point. Ivan & his team might want to make a better off-boarding flow. But Julie down in data science doesnât, because it makes number go up (or down, I guess) Ivan is, on the whole, okay with that though
