Yes, don't have enough reach. But if you look on a macro scale, they're likely doing that to all the customers, and the net negative will eventually hurt them.

that's part of the point as well - most people don't care enough to complain to others about a dark pattern, or maybe they do but don't have enough reach on whatever social network they post on.

This alone would make me not want to use them; so they just lost a potential customer. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

my point is that there are other considerations when you have some kind of continuous social relationship with someone vs. them just being a number in your database.
