I think it's more about him speaking about things he hasn't learned about yet. More than a few times he's shit on some library or framework without ever having used it (which you can tell because he says things about them that aren't how they work). I haven't watched him in years, I hope he stopped that. It's a shame when dev role models set a bad example.
