Why ERC-777 failed (and why it scared people)
ERC-777 added hook capabilities which allowed tokens to trigger smart contract side effects.
The idea is phenomenal, but the execution was problematic.

I think it's more about him speaking about things he hasn't learned about yet.
More than a few times he's shit on some library or framework without ever having used it (which you can tell because he says things about them that aren't how they work).
I haven't watched him in years, I hope he stopped that. It's a shame when dev role models set a bad example.

I just released a modular token standard.
Any developer can create any functionality on top of a token as a mod.
Then any Creator can select any combination of mods to craft how their token functions.
