seems like the fork threshold raising prop isn't passing anyways but i'm curious to understand the sentiment of the original proposal. is the idea that a fork is imminent and we need to stop it? if we think arbitrageurs accumulated close to 30% of the supply then i'd rather consider lowering the threshold

the intent behind raising the fork threshold from 10% to 30% (nouns.camp/proposals/439) was to *deter* arbers. if the accumulation continued despite that then rather than trap them i would rather open the door to make it easier for them to leave.

also back then bv was still around mid 20s eth. now we're around 10 eth bv with natural auction demand seemingly around 7 eth or so. the spending burden to get out of the bv > auction price situation is no where near what it used to be so i'm just not as worried with like how much longer this will last

i should let sasquatch speak for himself for the sake of an expeditious answer, a “desire to instigate a conversation” was mentioned in another warpcast thread

We could get BV roughly equal to auction prices by distributing 200 Nouns or spending 1000 ETH (ish). Not sure about the majority's intentions in the prop but I'm not opposed to the idea of halting forks until BV < auction. It's less about the ETH, more about sending a message that the arb game is over.
