What is it with typescript - every time I start a new project I waste hours trying to set up imports and the whole esm/cjs mess. Am I missing something here or is it a skill issue

I have a boiler plate repo that I just refer to depending on project type. It saves me a lot of time.

I make music, take pictures and break prod, mostly.

Do you mean a template like create-react-app or something you did yourself

A "self template", like a bare-bone typescript project I have already setup so every other project starts from there.
