Just listened to the first two episodes of Between Two Chains, and it’s excellent Which is not surprising given the stacked host and guest lineup, s/o @treegirl @ldf.eth @nitya @adeets-22 @jrg But I have a bone to pick with the idea that interop and composability are solved. The magic that made possible the combinatorial innovation explosion from 2018 through 2021 is direct synchronous smart contract composability. Whether or not the composability must be synchronous remains to be seen (I am leaning slightly towards yes), but what is required is contract to contract communication. First time long time, I look forward to your response :)

Thanks for listening to the pod! Fully agree it’s not solved, but I do think the tools are certainly ready. What’s still missing is coordination imo.

if that coordination were not missing, what do you think interop would look like? as a smart contract developer, what might it look like for me to build an onchain protocol that spans ethereum mainnet and multiple L2s, with crosschain state reads and rights?
