I still don’t really get fc mini apps if I’m being completely honest. 

You still need to connect the wallet when opening. You still need to load the page. 

Frames were cool because they were embedded and required less clicks. It felt native. It knew who i was on the first tap.  

Mini apps feel like in app browser PWAs with cool distribution in a tab on fc. Embedded mini apps, albiet hard / insecure, would get me excited for sure. 

What am I missing?

I will say there are a few I really like that feel very farcaster-native in that they should be mini-apps: 
1. @paperview, because the posts are shared in feeds and the flow feels like it should be native to fc. friend shares something i want to reveal -> tap -> pay -> reveal. 
2. @noiceapp, because it's tipping for farcaster actions so having it accessible from farcaster feels like a separate 'tip settings' for fc. I like that.
