not an artist, but as a collector this app doesn't make it easy to share work in a way that looks great at all. gif support is really lacking too

To compare, Image quality between FC and X.

Uploaded one of my picture with the res. 4406 × 2938
Both compress the image quality. But, there is a big difference in quality of the image and compression between these two platform
FC:  2000x1333 
X: 4096x2731
Most of the artists / photographers prefers when there is not much image quality compromises due to compression. FC is far behind in this aspect and never cared about media / artists.

hi! i shared detailed feedback with dan, but here's a gist of it.

- media quality still needs big improvements 
- collectors still on twitter (many joined fc and left last year)
- art platforms are not building on fc (manifold, transient, superrare)
- hyper financialization seems to have killed organic interaction
- most active users aren't into art (users are hungry for lifestyle content over art)
- recent creator focus changes give very instagram/tiktok vibes. feels like moving away from what made fc different (artists != creators)
- artist friends already left/have one foot out the door

it genuinely hurt to even write my original cast because i hate what twitter has become over the last few years, and i've tried to be so patient to ride out the lull with everyone else here and engage with new fun things going on on fc, but right now some of us need to focus elsewhere to survive financially. 🥲
