When @kompreni and I released Valuables in 2020, there were a few other copy minters around that let anyone mint tweets into NFTs

Folks asked if we were worried about that competition

A few months later Jack Dorsey ended up selling his genesis tweet for $2.9M using Valuables

All the other “competitors” failed for a few reasons, but mainly because they failed to copy the key product design decision that made tweets minted on valuables actually valuable

Valuables was fire. I went around persuading artists to make ascii art on Twitter and then sell them to me. 

Legitimately one of the most fun things of pre-boom NFT land. 

Also corresponded with a feeling of enormous possibility, which happened to be well founded.
