I only met Noga a little over a week ago from a LinkedIn post (lmao), and I had a feeling we were going to get along given our shared interests in content creation, but I didn’t expect to connect so well, and I’m excited to continue our friendship at Cornell. More below⬇️

1. Our first conversation was three hours long at a bagel shop. I’m not sure about her experiences, but I honestly haven’t had that engaging of a conversation in many months.

2. I’m coming off of a gap year or two at Cornell because I crashed and burned. I have almost no friends there. But she single-handedly restored my faith that I can make friends again. I think I’ve found a friend in her.

5. When I mentioned I was scared to talk about changing majors and my time away, she said “that’s okay. People are looking for something real.” And it’s so true in life.

4. One of the things we talked about was authenticity and genuine connection. At my school, the norm is to act like you’re working really hard and have your shit together.

3. In fact, I was already on a call the night before with my girlfriend bawling my eyes out questioning if my decision to return to Cornell and be so far away was worth it, especially with how isolated I felt the first time.
