Farcaster is rolling out a new feature,now you’ll be able to buy and mint someone’s cast as an NFT through an auction. Sure, the idea isn’t groundbreaking, we’ve seen stuff like this before. But I’ve gotta say, the execution looks like it’ll be one of the best I’ve seen. I’m guessing some people will want to flex and win the auction, especially since there’s only one edition. Honestly, I thought they’d just reuse the same Zora-style feature from Base App, but looks like Farcaster came up with something of their own. Gotta say, I’m impressed.

It’s way better than coining everything… honestly I have someone who currently feels sad for using the base app, dude said he did love to be on Farcaster instead, told him it’s almost same he said NO.

So far I haven’t seen a single successful implementation of the friend tech model. What Farcaster came up with feels way more viable imo. But I don’t think this feature will see huge demand in the long run

Yeah also DONT think so… Should have a purpose I guess, well depends on Content n Context, developers need to create a meaningful market strategy for NFTs n collectibles, a place you can instantly sell or burn for a quick return, should be backed up by something in a away they don’t totally get useless… Got tons of NFTs in my wallets minted through Farcaster, they are just there not purpose, no value, moxie tried n failed so $wtf ?

I think this feature should be seen primarily as a way to tip the creator, and secondarily as a flex, like showing off that you own the one and only copy of a Farcaster star’s post. It makes sense, it has a place, but imo it’s not going mainstream

It’s typically a way to tip the creator, 100% not gonna profit 70% of users as no one cares who they are, probably a week or 2 they, the degens might just try participate in case any future reward, but after that, it’s gonna be them relying on little accounts to buy their cast… I know we all are here to profit our bags but isnt it bad n selfish when a DEGEN with $100k n above still do everything daily to extort n rack more Pennie’s to his bag when he could just build on base n be rewarded awesomely… I reason I love @miggles.eth I don’t know his stuff worth but man worths a Million to his ARMIES.
