In the first experiment at the world's most powerful particle accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider, scientists tried to find out whether the top quark always obeys Einstein's 1905 theory of special relativity. Quarks are the heaviest fundamental particles in the universe, not made up of any smaller particles.
