I love this lady. Nothing against pink bows, I like pink, but something about this entire "i'm just a girl" has felt off to me. Now I know why, it's because it's about selling femininity, and turning feminism into yet another tool for brands to sell us more stuff. https://youtu.be/AOnNtJrRWeo?si=bddRUfv0Iq-8hqU5

bookmarked to watch later when i have some free time. but yea same here, something about the “i’m just a girl” trend has always given me the ick. i despise everything about influencer culture, over consumerism, the latest over the top self care routines (night shed 🙄) to make you feel like all these products will “fix” you while they are sponsored, receive brand deals and pr packages. nothing wrong w making a bag but maybe not so much when young susceptible girls will fall for it and you know that they will.

in some instances, it seems more like counterculture that is now being adopted as branding I'm just a boy tho so idk

100% It’s a bit like being in the Matrix while watching the Matrix and proudly pretending that those other people in the Matrix fell for a lame trick 😏
