Sometimes I wonder, will people do so much mental offloading they'll offload their capacity for being present? For being fully absorbed in a task? For flow? For satisfaction that comes with that? For feeling anything?
Looking around me, the answer is likely yes.
Already these days I often find myself in discussions where I am definitely the weird one for suggesting that... some things should be hard, you don't need to ask Grok to explain dumb shit posts, you don't need millions of terabytes of data to decide what your brand personality should be... or in some people's case, what their personality online should be lol.
Some things you just need to use your head for and make a decision.
That's scary sure, but honestly isn't it more scary if we outsource it? There's joy to be found in going down a rabbit hole, doing hard things, going wrong and years later being able to smile about it.
Anyway, weird time to be alive.
